统计学

一、培养目标

本专业培养思想素质高、基础扎实、实践能力强、具有创新意识和国际视野的高素质应用型人才,能在统计学、经济金融、教育、大数据分析、计算机科学等部门从事研究、教学、应用开发、管理等工作。学生毕业5年左右应具备如下职业能力:

1.具备扎实的数学、自然科学基础知识,良好的人文素养、社会责任感和职业道德;

2.掌握统计学专业领域的基础理论和专业知识,具有创新意识,能熟练运用严格的数学理论、各类统计软件和算法进行数据建模分析与处理,能够综合所学理论和知识解决实际复杂统计问题;

3.具有文献检索和资料查询的能力,了解统计学前沿动态和发展趋势;

4.具有良好的表达和沟通能力以及团队合作和组织管理能力;

5.具有终身学习的意识,具备不断学习和适应发展的能力;

6.具有国际视野和良好的外语应用能力。

I. Training objectives

This program cultivates high-quality applied talents with high ideological quality, solid foundation, strong practical ability, innovative consciousness and international vision, who can be engaged in research, teaching, application and development, management and other work in statistics, economics and finance, education, big data analysis, computer science and other departments.

Students are expected to develop in all aspects of their moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and physical development, and are expected to achieve the following goals about five years after graduation:

1. Have a solid basic knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences, a good sense of humanism, social responsibility and professional ethics;

2. Master the basic theories and professional knowledge in the field of statistics,having a sense of innovation, the ability of skillfully using strict mathematical theory, various statistical software and algorithms for data modeling analysis and processing, and the ability of integrating the theory and knowledge to solve practical complex statistical problems;

3. With the ability of search the literature searching and data inquiring, understanding the trends and development trend of statistics frontier;

4. Good presentation and communication skills, teamwork and organization management skills;

5. The ability to continuously learn and adapt to development with the awareness of lifelong learning;

6. Have international vision, good foreign language application ability, have environmental protection consciousness and sustainable development consciousness.


二、毕业要求

1. 综合学科知识:具有扎实的数学和统计学基础,能够将数学和统计学的基本知识和思维方法,结合强大计算机算法,进行统计建模和分析。

2.问题分析:能够应用数学、统计学和计算机科学的基本原理,识别、表达、并通过文献研究、分析各类实际问题的统计需求,以获得有效结论。

3.各类统计软件和算法的应用:能够针对统计学专业领域的各类实际问题,开发、选择与使用恰当的统计学软件,并运用合适的算法,对实际问题进行建模,解决实际问题所需。

4.实验设计与数据处理:能够基于科学原理并采用科学方法对实际问题的数据分析、处理、性能评估等进行研究,包括设计实验、分析与解释数据、并通过信息综合得到合理有效的结论。

5.现代工具的应用:能够针对统计学专业领域的复杂问题,开发、选择与使用恰当的统计方法、现代数据分析工具和信息技术工具,包括对实际问题的预测与模拟,并能够理解其局限性。

6.具有良好的表达和沟通能力以及团队合作和组织管理能力;

7.具有终身学习的意识, 具备不断学习和适应发展的能力;

8.具有国际视野和良好的外语应用能力,具备环境保护意识和可持续发展意识。

II. Requirements

1. Comprehensive subject knowledge: With a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics, with the ability to combine basic knowledge and thinking methods of mathematics and statistics with powerful computer algorithms to conduct statistical modeling and analysis;

2. Problem analysis: With the ability to apply basic principles of mathematics, statistics and computer science to identify, express and analyze statistical requirements of practical problems through literature to reach valid conclusions;

3. Application of statistical software and algorithms: With the ability to adopt appropriate statistical software and algorithms for all kinds of practical problems in the field of statistics;

4. Experimental designing and data processing. Ability to conduct research on data analysis, processing and performance evaluation of practical problems based on scientific principles and using scientific methods, including designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and drawing reasonable and effective conclusions with information synthesis;

5. Application of modern tools. Ability to use and develop appropriate statistical methods, modern data analysis tools and information technology tools for complex problems in the field of statistics, including prediction and simulation of practical problems, and to understand their limitations;

6. Professional quality: With the wealth of design, art and related humanities literacy, with the sound personality and health of the psychological, with strong research and decision-making ability, organizational management ability, environmental adaptability and teamwork ability.

7. Communication: With the strong learning ability, writing ability, graphic expression ability, language expression and more proficient foreign language communication, computer, information technology and other basic skills.

8. Lifelong learning: Establish the concept of independent learning and lifelong learning, recognizing the importance of continuous self-improvement, and constantly pursuit of excellence.


三、专业主干课程

微积分-统计数学方法 I, III、概率论-风险和概率、数理统计-估计I、创业学基础、职业生涯规划与就业指导-经济统计、回归分析-线性预测方法随机过程-概率和动态过程、统计计算与软件SAS-统计软件I、数据挖掘与数据处理-数据研究和清洗,细分和调查处理技术。

III. Core Courses and Characteristic Courses

Calculus-Mathematical Methods for Statistics I,III,Probability Theory-Hazard and Probability,Mathematical Statistics-Estimation I,Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Career Planning and Employment Guidance-Economic Statistics,

Regression Analysis-Linear Forecasting Methods,Stochastic Process-Probability and Dynamic Processes,Statistical Calculations and Software SAS- Statistical Software I ,Data Mining and Processing- Study and Data Debugging, Segmentation and Survey Processing Techniques.

四、基本学制:

学制为全日制4年。全部教学、科研活动均在中国武汉科技大学完成。

IV. Recommended length of the program:

The program duration is four year full time. All the teaching and research activities under the program will be conducted at WUST's campus in China.
